This course covers all the material for Chief Mate/Master written examinations.

The MCA regulations require a candidate:

Not less than 12 months sea service as a watch-keeping officer whilst holding an OOW Certificate of Competency (CoC).

 

Eligibility Requirements : 

Discharge book entries verifying sea service.
Watch-keeping certificates to support all watch-keeping sea service.
A candidate who does not have a discharge book will need to obtain documentation from their shipping company verifying their sea service.

It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure that all entry requirements for the course and the issue of a Notice of Eligibility (NoE) by the MCA are met prior to attending the course.

The course consists of the following units:

  • Marine Passage Planning
  • Management of Bridge Operations
  • Applied Marine Meteorology
  • Ship Stability
  • Structures and Maintenance
  • Management of Vessel Operations
  • Shipmasters Law & Business
  • Shipboard Management
  • Marine Engineering Systems
  • Graded Units 2 and 3

During the second term of the Advanced Diploma delegates will attend external MCA/SQA examinations in Navigation and Stability & Structure.

 

The programme also consists of three required short courses, although an additional fee is required:

  • Navigation Aids and Equipment Simulator Training (NAEST) Management.
  • Human Element Leadership and Management (HELM) Management
  • Medical Care on board

Normal Visa -Now, not advisable (As there are cases, the visa is delayed beyond 2 months) –

FAST TRACK -Advisable (10/15days)

FAST TRACK VISA fee is approximately 34,000.

 

Important Criteria for Visa:

  1. Fund in your Account: As required. We will guide you. Any fund borrowed from
    should be from Father or Brother. No direct fund transfer from friends to your
    account.

2. Letter from College

3. Booking amount of GBP 1000 payment receipt.
Fund Required to Show in account:
(A)For 10/11 months Student Visitor Visa:
Tuition Fees + Living expenses-Approximate GBP 15400, Plus Visa Fees + Health
Insurance (GBP 1000).
(The deposit amount of GBP 1000 shall be deducted from the fund in account).

4. Clear UKVI IELTS English language test.

Different colleges in UK charge similar fees which varies from :GBP 7500 to GBP
7990(Includes, Tuition Fees, HND Registration Fees, MCA Orals Prep, NAEST and
HELM).
SQA Examination Fee (External Fee) – GBP 230
MCA Oral Examination Fee (External Fee) – GBP 220

For booking a course, you will need to email or Whatsapp the following
documents to us:

 Completed Deck Course Booking Form. To Get one click (Blank Course
Booking Form ; Sample Filled Up Course Booking Form)
 Passport: 1st page and address page
 CDC: Proof of sea service stamp pages of CDC
 Watch keeping Certificate from Master or Company Letter.
 Electronic bank transfer of £ 1,000(As not refundable deposit Payment) to
be made to the college. This will be adjusted against your total fees.
Non Refundable deposit may be adjusted if (1)you have intimated the college
before 21 days and (2) do the same course within 24 months of the course
starting date

 

Admission Procedure :

If you are still on board, still you can book your seat provided you are sure that
the required sea time will be completed before starting the classes with the
college. Admission letter will be sent to your email address in about 3 weeks after
receiving your documents by email and deposit payment is made. The Documents
can be sent by scanned copy e-mail and payments can be made by you or your
blood relatives from their account.
